Yesterday was rough...

This picture has nothing to do with this post, it's just a favorite of mine. Oswald and my Little Man just hours before Oswald left town.

Yesterday was Daylight Savings. I grew up in Arizona, where the time never changes. I know I have been out of that state for 8+ years, but every time I have to change my clock, it messes with me.

And even worse, it messes with my kids. They become beasts. They are grumpy and yesterday, especially emotional. My Princess and my Buddy were both criers the whole day long. Each time they got told no, cry. When they didn't like what I fixed for dinner, cry. And on, and on, and on...awful!

But it gets better. During sacrament meeting yesterday, I started to ache. My neck, shoulders and my upper back all ached, like I was getting sick. I ended up taking some Tylenol and that helped me make it through the rest of church. But when I got home, oh my goodness!

I could barely stand up, let alone cook dinner. One minute I was freezing, the next minute I was sweating to death. After several meltdowns, we got the kids in bed and asleep. I was laying on the floor and when Oswald would try to touch me, I would scream! It felt like he was breaking every bone in my body when he touched my hand. It. Was. Awful.

So I got ready for bed and crawled under the covers. I'm not lying when I say about 2 minutes later I am shivering so bad that I can't sleep. The shivers were coming so furiously that it affected my breathing. Plus, the aches were back. I got up and got some more medicine and shook so bad that I could hardly hold the bottle.

I put long pants on and a long sleeved shirt, crawled under two comforters and continued to shake. I finally asked Oswald if he would lay next to me and just use his body warmth to warm me up. It did not take long and he was asleep and I was finally warm.

About an hour later, I woke up sweating and I haven't stopped sweating since. Crazy thing, I don't feel any other symptoms of illness. I want to turn the fan on HIGH, but I'm the only one who is hot. I have put ice on my neck, shoulders and upper back. The pain is going away, but I can't stop sweating. I wonder if my fever keeps breaking?

I sure hope that I get over what ever this is and get over it quickly! I have too much to do to be sick for any length of time!
