Book Review

I know I am super slow with reading this book. You've probably all read it already. But I wanted to add my two cents.

I loved this book. So very well written.

It follows the lives of three different women living in the south during a time when things were changing here in the south. One of them is a white woman who is shunned by her friends when she sticks up for the Help.

She then convinces several ladies to tell her their stories to compile a book for her to send to New York City to publish.

It's a great story that helps us women realize that there are not borders keeping us from being friends with everyone, just the borders we place on ourselves. It was a real eye opener and it helped me see what it might have been like to live during that time.

If you have not read this book, I would recommend it. It's worth getting from the library, for sure. Or even buying, if you're the kind who likes to buy!

  1. I just finished it too! I'd been wanting to read it forever and finally picked it up at Costco last week. I'm hoping to write a review on it too, it definitely is worth some talk in my opinion!
