Happy Birthday, Little Man!!

The date--August 11, 2010--I had picked both of my parents up from the airport. I was just waiting for Oswald to arrive in from Georgia. He had been late getting out of work that day and had a five hour drive to our house. At 11:15pm he walked in the front door. I was ready to have this baby...my husband was home!

At 7:15am, I stood in my living room in North Carolina waiting to get in the car with Oswald and drive to the hospital. I have been lucky enough to be induced with all three of my kids.

We got to the hospital around 8:30am. I had to stand on the scale (yuck) and got all into my baby having gear.

They broke my water around 9:30am and didn't give me pitocin until around 10:30am. Oswald and I just hung out in the hospital room until 11:30 when my family arrived. My sister had flown in to help me while Oswald was working out of state. She, along with my parents and Oswald were all in the hospital room.

I finally started having some major contractions and got my epidural. At 1:39pm my sweet blond baby was born. He looked just like his big brother and big sister.

He was not a little guy. Weighing in at 8lbs 4ozs. He has always been a snuggly little man and still continues to be one a year later.

His brother and sister were smitten with him the moment they saw him. They still love to pick him up and hold him and kiss on him. They have always been the sweetest kids with him.

He came into this world so quickly and turned out family of four to a family of five. He has completely changed our family forever!

  4. What a sweetie! I love that our babies are so close in age, AND born almost the same time as each other, AND I was induced with all mine as well! :) Too funny!

  5. I remember the first time I saw Max, I was amazed at how much he looked like Maylee and not Isaac! All that blond hair was a surprize as well! Everytime I see him, he looks different to me with the exception of his smile. Such a sweet boy just oozing of sugar and love! We have all been blessed with his arrival! Happy Birthday precious boy!
