Some people might describe perfection as a state their body will one day be in, when they get a tummy tuck or a boob job or when they lose that last 5 pounds.
Others may say they will reach perfection when their kids decide they want to play together or even just get along.
While some of us might think perfection is a state of being that we can only reach when we die. While I agree with this to some extent, the other day I experienced what perfection can feel like.
The weather was gorgeous. Mid 70's here, the sun was shining, the leaves were changing colors, my kids were playing happily outside, and Oswald was raking the leaves. All while I sat on our porch with my feet up, reading a book.
I couldn't have asked for anything better than that! It's amazing what a little warmth and vitamin D will do for your body, mind and spirit.
I feel re-energized, re-focused and ready to tackle any obstacle that comes my way. It's amazing to me how the sun can make me feel like a whole new person.
What is your idea of how to spend a "prefect" afternoon?
Any good book recommendations? I need something new to start reading!
"There is sunshine in my soul" has several meanings for me. Literally and spiritually. I love the sound of the water with the sun mixed with laughter. That is my perfect day.

ReplyDeletePerfect, well, my happy place is by the beach. I have more perfect moments in a one week's time when I am there.
ReplyDeleteIf you wait for perfect to happen, as far as job/money, body type, kids being a certain age... you will miss the perfect snap shots that make up life. Now, if I could only remember that.
