I can't tell you how excited I am that school is out!! I am so ready to sleep in, if even for 20 minutes, past 6:30am!
I am ready for the lazy days of the summer, but I'm not going to let those days get so lazy that all we do is lay around the house watching TV and eating Bonbons! (those things are nasty...we'd probably eat licorice!) But I digress..
We're ready for hours at the pool.
We're ready for fun in the sun.
We're ready for outdoor adventures, as long as we can fight off the mosquitoes and humidity.
We're ready for good quality family time!
I have a good friend who is homeschooling her kids right now, they're preschool and younger age. She is an inspiration to me, is so very organized and has turned her basement into their classroom. She sent me a few links to help me keep my kids brains active this summer.
I am pleased to announce that I have printed off a few things to do starting tomorrow. My Princess is going to be super ready for Kindergarten and my Buddy will be ready to thrive in 1st Grade.
I'll keep you posted on our daily activities and how things work out for us. My Princess doesn't really like to learn from her mom...so we'll see how this goes over tomorrow! :)
have fun! i can't wait for our summer to begin, either. check out kiwi crate - it could be something fun to do with the kids if you don't have the time/energy to put something together yourself, with a newborn and all.
ReplyDeletewe're doing 3 months of kiwi crate (june/july/aug) and then cancelling. i figure what i will pay for the crate is what i would spend at hobby lobby anyway, and i don't have to take the time to go to the store, print something off, assemble something, etc etc etc.
no matter what you do, you're kids will love it, because you are a mom who LOVES HER KIDS and that's all kids care about.
